When all else Fails....Punt!

I guess I am one of the only one who actually blogs about the great things that happen to me...my trials and tribulations sort a speak.  Well, had another fantastic day today.  Let me tell you how it went (I figured this would be good for a laugh for everyone).

The day started out fine, went into the office to help other agents with their tech questions for the day.  I had a full schedule set up for the day and my wife had clients that she was out with showing Tampa Real Estate to.  Anyway, all is fine until the phone rings in the middle of one of my meetings.  My wife is on the phone saying that there is a problem with the battery.  New Battery, so don't think so, probably something else.  But I have this feeling that something worse is coming (that is usually how it starts).  Ok, I get another call saying that she is on her way in to the office (she is about 40 minutes out).  I then get another call and she tells me that the tire is flat.  I figure it is one of the back tires because they are due for new tires probably within the next 6-12 months and the front tires are new.  No, the front tire is blown.  She hit a pot hole.  Fantastic!

So now I have to cancel all my appointments for the day, truck it out 45 minutes to find her, change the tire, and get back to the office.  Ok, so I find her, get it done, and get back.

I finish up a couple of things in the office, talk to a few people, and get moving out to get home.  My wife and I leave the office and I notice that she has pulled over to the middle island and the lights are flashing strangely.  I zip around, and ask her what is the problem, she is out of gas.  I pull up behind her, check for myself to make sure it isn't something else, and it does seem to be that she is out of gas.  We jump in the other car, and I go to turn the car over, now my car is out of gas.  (Out of trying to do work on the way back to the office, I neglected to check the gas needle and now I have 2 cars out of gas in the middle island.

Make a long story shorter, we walk to get gas, get the gas, and finally get home.  So the moral to the story is, if things start to go wrong and your not feeling right, go home and go to bed!

I hope you all had a good laugh, as I did after the fact, but was pretty upset during the process!

Too funny Rob. I have had days like that and you are right. Better to take the rest of the day off and start over the next day. Best Eric

Tell me about it.  I was laughing when I was writing it...but was pretty rough most of the day!

Sounds like the I Love Lucy episodes I live on a regular basis.  Gave me a Deja Vu moment!

WOW.... That has to be some kind of record for a bad "but not tragic" day. I was waiting for the "April Fools", but I guess that wasn't the case. I imagine that you guys are laughing about it today. Great Story!
