The Alpharetta real estate market remains strong as we begin to reach the busy spring and summer months when more people are looking to buy Alpharetta homes for sale and more sellers want to move when school recesses for the summer. The March real estate market statistics have been totaled and outlined below. It's too early to get accurate statistics for the month of April. I will include a few comparisons to March of 2006 to gather a better idea of the the state of the real estate market.

Current Conditions

• Current Alpharetta homes for sale - 1,534
• An additional 388 homes are either under contract or working an offer.
•  218 homes show as sold during March.
• The absorption rate for Alpharetta real estate is about 9 months of inventory.

Alpharetta Sales for March of 2006

• During March of 2006, 185 homes sold.

This is excellent news as the indication here is that buyers are now back in the market and buying homes at greater numbers than last year at the same time. With an upswing in buyers, if you are on the fence and planning on buying Alpharetta real estate, you should act soon. At this rate inventories could begin to fall shifting the housing market back in favor of sellers. As a seller this is good news as well.
