Single Property Websites For The Technology Inclined

About two months ago, I posted about a new single property website using WordPress that I developed for added exposure to our listings. I had several people email and call me to see if they could use the WordPress theme for their listings. It took a while, but, I finally got the theme in a condition that would be easy enough for anyone who is familiar with hosting their own WordPress blog to use. For reference, here is an example of one that I created for a listing in Sandy Springs.
Be forewarned as if you are unfamiliar with setting up WordPress from scratch, this would probably not be the best place to start. It could be done as I have included a fairly reasonable read me file to get it up and running correctly, but, it is a bit time consuming if you haven't done it before. If you are interested, you can download the theme here and I have included the exact same instructions in the post that I placed in the read me file of the Theme.
If you use it and you have any problems setting up the website, please use the comments form on the blog post with the theme download to contact me so that any answers posted may be of help to others.
I think that this is as good of a solution for additional online marketing as there is available on any single property website platform available with the added bonus that it comes with the proven and trusted WordPress blog which tends to do well out of the box for SEO purposes. I'll right a post soon about some best practices that I have learned on how best to utilize the single property websites that go beyond placing a rider on your yard sign. Used properly, you can really shine at listing presentations by providing some real added value for your clients.

Ryan, it looks great and I'll try a download. However, I've started doing my own with a free host/site provider and will be posting about it somewhere. It's just another way of doing a single property website and I've been using the address url (the only thing purchased & I use dot info as it's so inexpensive) in my newsletters and the little print advertising I do. Sellers do appreciate it but I'm not interested in seo that much for these sites.
Hi Ryan nice going. I did a custom single property site awhile back. That was pretty decent for what I needed to do. It allowed me to do a custom url and a custom PPC campaign. In big markets like your, getting up there for a single property is near impossible. I did it for this property I was sellling. Probably po'd the local who were #1, but pay the price and you get top billing. It was cost effective for me, though I have not seen it duplicated.It won't take long I am sure and you probably see it in your market.
I have a guy who is doing my WP stuff and I'll have him take a look at it. Thanks. I took your suggestion and have a WP as my on site blog with a site specific name. Kudos to you.
