Rancho CarlsbadIn 2003 I had the pleasure to stumble into th Rancho Carlsbad community while I was looking for a tee time one afternoon.  A Good friend of mine suggested we head to the Rancho Carlsbad Golf course for a quick 18 holes, he told me that while the par 56 course was only 2396 yards I would have a good time working on my short game.  The course sits just off El Camino Real in a valley of mature Eucalyptus trees, lovely ponds, and meandering creeks.  The course is not very tough but it is a lot of fun.

San Diego Rental Rates Up Again.

San Diego Apartment Rents increase again.

San Diego County - For the eighth straight year San Diego Apartment rents have increased.  In a survey of nearly 800 aparment complexes with at least 25 units, the average monthly San Diego apartment rent incresed by 4% over last year and has increased over $400 since the year 2000!

North San Diego Home RentalAccording to MarketPoint's survey of over 114,000 units, the average rent for a San Diego aparment was $1,387 in Feb 2008.  This survey did NOT look at rents for San Diego Homes or San Diego Condo; which are usually the most desireable types of properties to rent and can be considerablly more expensive.  Typically, San Diego Homes or Condo's rent for between $1.00 to $1.50 per square…

San Diego County FHA Loan Limits

Hud increases FHA Loan Limits in San Diego County

One of the hottest topics over the last day has been the anuoncement that FHA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac loan limits have been increased.  In a move that sould effect a vast majoirty of California Home buyers; the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced on that effective March 5th the FHA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac loans will ALL have their loan limits increased!  Here in San Diego County the  FHA loan limit for a One-Family home went from $367,000 to $697,500.  If you live outside of San Diego county you can view the  new loan limits for your area on the HUD website here.

What does this mean for a San Diego Home buyer?
