Nolin Lake Real Estate
Now that the boating season is over with and the water level in Nolin Lake is dropping to winter pool -- the entire lake takes on a different look and feel. Summer skiers and boaters are no where to be found. All that is left are the fisherman and the people who appreciate the crisp breeze that whips across the lake. The shorelines all look barren as the water drops, exposing rocks, limbs, debris etc, that has spent the past 6 or 7 months underwater. If you have an afternoon, you'd be amazed at what you can find if you walk the banks. Who knows what your search will turn up!
Now is also an excellent time to begin your search for Nolin Lake real estate

I apologize for the brevity of this post, I had a nice summary written up and the power flashed at my house and I lost the post. Which gives me a great topic for another day... Why I need to purchase a UPS. On to the main course.
Google has settled with the Author's Guild for 125 million dollars. Google during its "Book Search" project has currently scanned 7 MILLION, out of print, but copyrighted books. They estimate that an additional 20 million books meet the current criteria to be scanned.
Overall, this is a win-win for both parties. Although digital readers have been slowly trickling books into digital media, along with "books on tape." Google has single handedly dragged the Author's Guild into the digital medium. All the while creating a…

I just checked the Corp of Engineers website and Nolin Lake is sitting at 510 feet. Five feet below summer pool. They will continue to drop the water over the next few weeks dropping the water level down to 490 feet. If you'd like to monitor the water level yourself, you can do so by visiting this webpage for the Nolin Lake Water Level.

Today, I showed 14 houses in an area that I'm really not familiar with. Thanks to modern technology, I only got lost 3 times instead of 25 times :) Twice the road had been closed to prevent people cutting through the neighborhood. Once I passed up the street briefly and had to cut through a parking lot to get to the correct street. How anyone ever navigated to all these listings with a paper map, while trying to keep their clients entertained is beyond me. I'm sure that the GPS cut at least an hour out of my day today. The best part was I was able to program 10 of the addresses into the system before I even met up with my clients!

It seems like fall has finally made it to Oldham County, Kentucky. The cool days are giving way to even cooler nights. Not that I'm complaining too much, but it seems like it happened all of a sudden. I'm ready for it though. Something about the cool nights helps me sleep easier. I'm going to cut this short tonight to watch the Vice Presidential debate.

Being new to the entire SEO game, I'm excited to go through my first Google page rank update. Both of the sites that I've been working on picked up some page rank. I realize that it doesn't mean much when I'm still on page 24?? or so for my keyword, but is nice to see some progress as I work on moving my way up the rankings. I'm basically blogging about this so I can look back at the next update and remind myself where I was then.

Put the keyboard down. Step away from the computer. Pick up a book. Breath deep, relax...
Last week most of the Greater Louisville area was without power. Where I live, we were without power for a little over 5 days. No TV, no computer, no lights. We did cheat and run a generator for the refridgerator. What I learned? I found myself going to bed earlier for one thing. I also returned to one of my first loves, reading! I spend a lot of time reading online, but a lot of that is work related. This was reading just for the sheer fun of it. If anyone is a fan of James Patterson, I suggest you look into another author named Harlan Coben. Last week I read about 1500 pages, across 3 books. My favorite being The Woods. I'm now working on my fourth…

Got your iPhone? Cool, you can keep it. Although I am very excited to see that the iPhone has been pushing what cell phones can do. The blurring of the line between a cell phone and a pocket computers is a good thing for consumers. Especially a tech hungry one, like myself. When I first read that Google was working on a software platform for a cellphone, I was giddy. Sure the iPhone has an SDK that people can use and you can buy apps via iTunes, but that is nothing compared to what the open source community can do with a solid operating system. Given Google's track record, I can only assume that they have gotten this right as well. Hopefully I'm right. Yahoo just posted an article about the release of the phone with T-mobile. The only downfall to…
