Funny that you write this as I just noticed 2 of my other blogs with a drastic uptick in PR rank...though I was seeing things at first and had to refresh and shutdown and reload again but it was there...

Congrats Scott, there is nothing like that first update! It's always nice to see your hard work rewarded, you will be ranking in no time I'm sure.

I just wish there was something a little more accurate or that Google would be a little more forthcoming with the data.  The more I learn about SEO the more I come to realize that the "Foolbar"  means can give one a false sense of hope (or drag you through the mud) while all the time little to nothing actually happens in terms of position or traffic.

For now I guess it is enough to get rid of the shakes

Actually, loudog...that term was there long before me as well! Maybe Morgan coined it??? I don't even remember, in all honesty...

It has been around for a while. The only term that I have officially coined as far as I know is "defensible link building". (grin)

I didn't realiize you had just acquired the disorder.  The webmaster tools ca be just as madening.

Foolbar has been around a long time and shows up many places, not so sure it started here.

I have just now come to terms with admitting it publicly.

Back in thge day, before I installed the tool bar I used to send Morgan 10 emails a day as a way of dealing with my disorder (now I only send 5 a day).

That was when Morgan used to like me.

It's funny - I used to be a PR-aholic and the time between updates seemed forever.  Reading this post I thought "didn't we just have an update?"  I'm cured!

Once my sites started reaching top search positions PR was no longer important to me.  I think I was more interested in it when trading links was popular.
