Scottsdale Realtor Wins Diamond Award for Outstanding Sales
Scottsdale Realtor, Carmen Brodeur, has received the coveted Diamond Award from Realty Executives International. This award is given to the top 1% of Realtors in the company based on outstanding sales volume during the preceeding year. This is a great honor to be placed amongst some of the top Scottsdale Realtors, not just in Realty Executives, but also in the industry as a whole.
"I especially appreciate this award in light of the economic circumstances of the past year" said Carmen. 2011 was a special challenge for Realtors, like Carmen, who specialize in vacation homes.. The second home market was negatively affected by the poor economy and stock market. The dramatic swings in the stock market during last summer profoundly affected the vacation home market.
2012 is shaping up to be a great year for the Scottsdale real estate market. The American economy in general is much stronger, interest rates are still low and the prices of Scottsdale homes are rising. The prices of Scottsdale homes for sale hit bottom in the last quarter of 2011. Home prices are up 20% in the past 12 months, including an 8% surge in March alone. Everyone who has been sitting on the fence, waiting for the market to hit bottom, is suddenly realizing they have already missed it, and are jumping in at the same time. It is a frenzied race for all of those people who want to suddenly buy. 2012 has already had some of the highest monthly sales volumes in the past 5 years.
"I look forward to helping more people find their piece of paradise in Scottsdale. I love my job!" said Carmen.
