By now, most people who have been paying attention to the media have heard that home prices (and interest rates for that matter) in many areas are near the bottom. Personally, with my own clients I have noticed the competition on homes that are priced right in Scottsdale as well as other Phoenix areas increase dramatically in recent months. At this time, it's not uncommon to be going up against two or three other offers on the homes for sale that represent a good value.
Scottsdale real estate has continued it's upward trend for the month of May with a total of 458 homes sold. The upward swing hasn't been dramatic, but has been steady. Some might even say "healthy."
Buyers who are in the market are so fortunate these days. While most of us are playing "catch up" on the homes we purchased in the past few years, today's buyers will be able to enjoy things such as home equity lines of credit, or simply being able to brag to friends or family about how smart of an investor they are :-)
