Article Content
Article content is a fun thing to try to come up with on an ongoing basis. The challenge is to keep the topics relevant and current without overdoing it, or rambling on ad nauseam about the same thing as everyone else. There is an amazing amount of articling going on around the web and currently it is showing to be a fantastic way to get ranking & authority for your site. It really does not matter what your business is, there are people out there who want to hear what others have to say.
As a business owner or participant, your perceived expertise is of great importance in establishing your credentials. Articling is one of the best ways to share your expertise and experience with the world and make a bit of a name for yourself at the same time. People… Read Full Post
The Art Of Article-ing
Articles have become a major source of information lately. Sites like Ezine and goarticles are jammed with articles on pretty much any topic you can imagine from real estate to how to void the warranty on your new XBox 360 (insert inside joke here) There is an art to writing articles that are both factual and easy to read. It is my opinion that both of these elements are necessary in creating a good article that people actually read through to the end. It is important to have a good lede to your article. The "lede" is your hook, your opening and the theme of the article. Let's use the example of "Things To Ask A Realtor." This is a good start, it's short, to the point and clearly states what the article is going to explore. You can simply move on ,… Read Full Post
R.I.P. To A Great Realtor
It's with great sadness today, I discovered that the Realtor that my wife and I purchased our home from has passed away. Bill Snowden was much more than simply a Realtor, he was a great friend to this family. In the years when my wife was quite sick, Bill would come around just to see how she was and if she was OK. Many Realtors in our area were hesitant to work with a single mother, but Bill came through with flying colours and earned both our respect and admiration. He was a great man and a better Realtor, one who didn't have clients, he had friends. He will be very much missed in this family and it is a great loss to the Nanaimo Real Estate Community.
Rest In Peace Bill
You are missed.

Unique Content & SEO
So you have a website, YAY! Now you are faced with the task of writing content for the page. Whether or not you are a skilled wordsmith, I think we can agree that it is best to create unique and relevant content for your particular site. So often i see pages that are basically a copy/paste of Wikipedia or some such informational site and it is my belief that this can hurt your site very much. If your site contains duplicate content, not only will it hurt your site's credibility, but you might get a nasty note from whoever wrote the content in the first place. Remember, if you are selling or advertising a product it should not be hard for you to prove your expertise on whatever it is. Who better than you to provide unique insight and background into your… Read Full Post
Writing For The Web
Writing for the web can be a tricky proposition. How to best combine the necessary information with search engine friendly tactics? Well, there is a few ways that one can go about this.
1. Building authority & symmetry.
This is likely the most important aspect of web writing. Building your site as an authority on whatever the given topic is, is without equal in terms of importance. Showing that your site is authoritative earns the site respect from both the industry and the search engines. If the engines see your site as a authority, your rankings will reap the benefits.
2.Original Content.
What can I say about original content? It's about the most important thing you can have on a website. Original content sets a site apart from the vast… Read Full Post
