The Art of Article-ing

Articles have become a major source of information lately. Sites like Ezine and goarticles are jammed with articles on pretty much any topic you can imagine from real estate to how to void the warranty on your new XBox 360 (insert inside joke here) There is an art to writing articles that are both factual and easy to read. It is my opinion that both of these elements are necessary in creating a good article that people actually read through to the end. It is important to have a good lede to your article. The "lede" is your hook, your opening and the theme of the article. Let's use the example of "Things To Ask A Realtor." This is a good start, it's short, to the point and clearly states what the article is going to explore. You can simply move on , fulfilling the idea that was laid out in the lede.
Utilizing the internet format, articles can be somewhat different than traditional print media. I have found that "lists" work quite well. Top 10 this, top 5 reasons to that etc. These articles are a fantastic way to get your name and url out there. The main thing is to "BE ACCURATE!" Accuracy is the be-all and end-all of proper articles. At the end of any article you should never find yourself asking "why did I read this?" or "What was the point of that?" An article has to answer any questions that were put forth in the intro. Never leave a reader unfulfilled.
