Real Estate Webmasters First Ever: Crazy Hat Day!
So, in an effort to make the work environment at REW a little more fun (not that it needed it), a small committee has been made within the staff to think up and run fun social events. Out of this, Crazy Hat Day was born!
The participation by staff was great. The hats were definitely eclectic and random... and I think represented the people wearing them fairly well. So, without further adieu, here are the pictures from REW's Crazy Hat Day!
PS. Sorry about the image comments being on the side.. for those using firefox.

Read Full PostHoly Social Networking Diversity, Batman!
So, over the last couple of days, I have taken to going around the internet, seeking out the best Social
Networking/Bookmarking sites and creating accounts with all of them.
It's overdue, really. I should have been doing this MONTHS ago. There are so many!
I had never actually realized how diverse each one is! It's actually really fun and intriguing. The sign-up forms for each are all completely different. Each one offers some features that the other doesn't. It's great!
I think for my last shot at the Greatest Real Estate Agent In The World contest, I'll do some hardcore social networking. I'm on like, page 10 now for the search term. I got pretty busy for a while there... or lazy.. and have fallen behind.
Boris will make his return!
It's hard to…
Read Full PostThe Top 10 Things I've Learned From Digg
It's been just about two months since my last blog post, so I've decided to treat you all with my amazing writing skills.
Unlike most of the internet savvy people I know, I was a little late to discover just how entertaining Digg can be. I only recently started visiting the site daily and to my surprise, I find myself learning bits of useful (and non-useful) information every day. So, without further ado, here is the top 10 things I've Learned From Digg.
10. Digg users LOVE top 10 lists. Seriously. They go nuts over them. These posts often have more Diggs than important posts about politics, global warming and food starved countries! It's ridiculous! They can be top 10 lists about ANYTHING. Movies you probably haven't heard about but should have, Zombies…

It's been a while since I made my last post.. so I thought I would update y'all on what I have planned for 2008. I have a basic idea of some things that I want to get done before the summer even.
I think the main thing I want to happen before the summertime is for me to get in better shape. I spend a LOT of time on computers and I think that with a little self-motivation, I can get out a little more. Since a lot of my friends have moved away to either go to school or work, I have little motivation to go for the weekly hikes and walks that I used to be into.
I signed up for a gym a while ago (which reminds me, I need to renew my membership!). I've gone a couple times but it's been hard with the holiday season. Now that it's winding down, I think it will…

Well. I did it. I dug into my shallow pockets, forked out 600 bucks and took a 2 day bus ride up North. I went for a couple reasons. One of them being to see my sister, niece, nephew and brother in law; another reason being me just wanting to go on some sort of adventure.
I hopped on the bus at 6:00am on November 5th, at the Greyhound Bus Depot in downtown Vancouver. I was excited. I stuffed my jacket full of the essentials. My Ipod packed with Bowie, The Beatles and Pearl Jam, a small guitar case containing a Ukulele and a sweater and my camera. Grabbed a coffee before I climbed aboard and took a seat at the back.
I knew it was going to be a long trip, so I went RIGHT to the back and took the only spot on the bus with three seats in a row. We took… Read Full Post
Gone For 2 Weeks!!
Hey Everyone!
It's that time again! I get to spend some hard earned money on a much needed relaxing vacation! On Monday, I will be taking off on my venture to the Northwest Territories!
It's a 2 day bus trip... so I won't be there until Wednesday sometime. I'm really looking forward to the bus trip up there! I actually bought a Ukulele specifically for my trip so I don't go through Guitar Withdrawels. I'm going to drive everyone on the bus nuts!
I thought I should make this post to let you all know that I won't be around to answer your questions and such, so you will need to direct them to some of the other mods. SEO Dave will be taking over some of my tasks as well, so if you need anything you could always email him at… Read Full Post
Halloween!
This is by far my favorite time of the year. The weather is bearable. Fall is setting in... which means the trees will start turning orange and the roads will be covered in leaves; but most importantly, Halloween is here!
I'm not joking when I say I'm obsessed with this day. I've been dressing up ever since I was a kid. I think for two reasons. One: I LOVE horror movies. To actually dress up and pretend you're something scary or to pretend you're in a horror movies something I've always had fun with. Two: Doing face painting is a pretty cool form of art. I love doing it and have done it for years.
Most Halloweens I will have a couple different costumes lined up. This year I have something pretty special. It involves me dying my hair green. This… Read Full Post
Goodbye, E&N Railway Station
On August 26th, early in the morning... Just one block from REW Headquarters, one of the coolest, oldest buildings in Nanaimo was completely gutted by a fire. Today at lunch, SEO Dave and I drove by what was left of Nanaimo's E&N Railway Station only to see the entire left side of the roof completely caved in and charred.
Just a few months ago I lived DIRECTLY across the street from that building and often hung out there while I waited for my girlfriend to get off her bus from school. I always thought the station was shut down and there was someone living in it, as we always heard music coming from the inside late at night... but according to recent articles released about the burning, the station was still operational.
According to… Read Full Post
