Goodbye, E&N Railway Station
On August 26th, early in the morning... Just one block from REW Headquarters, one of the coolest, oldest buildings in Nanaimo was completely gutted by a fire. Today at lunch, SEO Dave and I drove by what was left of Nanaimo's E&N Railway Station only to see the entire left side of the roof completely caved in and charred.
Just a few months ago I lived DIRECTLY across the street from that building and often hung out there while I waited for my girlfriend to get off her bus from school. I always thought the station was shut down and there was someone living in it, as we always heard music coming from the inside late at night... but according to recent articles released about the burning, the station was still operational.

Vacationing In November: Thawing 2 Weeks Later

Things may change between now and November, but I am currently in the process of booking a bus/train trip to the Northwest Territories for a couple of weeks. I have been down the West Coast of the United States and even all the way to England, but I have never ever been in another province or Territory in Canada.
November, that will all change as I plan to literally go to the Great White North. My sister, Lina, lives up there with her husband and my Niece and Nephew. It will be good to go up there and visit with them all.
It should be interesting going somewhere where last year, in November, it was -27. I've always said I liked the cold... but I have a feeling I don't know what I'm getting myself into. Either way, it's going… Read Full Post
7 Unadvertised Facebook Features!
Last night while surfing the web, I came across this cool article on the lesser known features of Facebook. Here's 1 of 7.
"1. Feed tweaks: Dial it up. Did you know the Friends' feed you see on the Facebook home page doesn't contain every little piece of information about what people are doing on the network? While everyone can tweak what they want published to the news feed, you too have control of what you see others doing. To adjust the feed, there's a handy set of 10 sliders that control the frequency of each story type, and how often it shows up. There's also an option underneath the sliders to hand-pick which friends you want to see more or less of. You can access this control panel by clicking the Preferences link on the news feed."

Add A RSS Feed For Your Blog To Facebook!
What you need to do is:
1. Log into Facebook.
2. On the left side of the "Home" page, there is a nav bar right under the search box. In there somewhere should be a selection titled "Notes." (You may need to click on the more arrow)
3. After you've clicked on Notes, look under the "Profile" link on the very top nav. Click "My Notes."
4. On the right, under "Notes Settings," click on "Import a blog."
It will give you a box to place the RSS or Blog URL in and click "Start Importing"

I Love Social Networking.
I have come to the conclusion that Social Networking is probably the most addictive thing since, well, Crack. It's ridiculous how much time I spend doing it. I go home from work and the first thing I do is check my Facebook or MySpace.
At the moment, I still like MySpace a lot more than facebook. The reason is pretty much MySpace Music. I think it would do wonders for Facebook if they made it possible to upload your own tunes have profiles for bands with their songs. It would give you a chance to rub how you're doing musically in the faces of all those jerks who made fun of you in highschool!
I have connected with people I thought I would never see again! It's really great to see how they are all doing. It's even helped me make plans… Read Full Post
Summer Plans.
With the recent death of my dad, I have been doing what every other person who grieves does. Thinking of ways to improve my life. This is a check list I have come up with of things I want to accomplish this summer. I feel making something like this will help me sort out things a little bit. So here goes.
Set up a small recording studio.
This is something that I have been wanting to do for a really long time. Last year I started recording my own music and I feel it would be a lot more fun to record other people as well as myself with some better equipment. So, my plan is to buy the necessary equipment to do this.
(To hear music I have already recorded, check out: http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/blogs/seo-nick/nicks-music.html)

In Loving Memory...
Hey Everyone,
Last Saturday, my father died in his sleep due to a heart attack. I just wanted to make a thread dedicated to his memory.
To tell you all the truth, it hasn't hit me yet. I don't think it will until the funeral tomorrow, we'll see. He wasn't the greatest dad in the world - but he definitely didn't deserve to die at such a young age. He was only 52.
He was never cruel or mean spirited towards my family or anyone else. He had his problems but then again, we all do.
I'll miss those yearly trips to the PNE, Dad.
One day, I'll see you again. Love Nick.
My sister Lina, Ray(my dad) and Davin(My nephew).

If I Had A Real Estate Site...
This is one nice site:
Texas Real Estate
Everything about it, in my eyes is perfect. The thing I like the most is the 3 animated calls to action. They are very well done and the images definitely catch my attention. Just thought I'd give these guys a blog post link for having such a neat little site :) Read Full Post
