How many realtors have gone the way of the dinosaurs by making the stand of "who needs the internet". I cannot begin to give you this statistic, but the sad truth is that most Realtors who decide they can survive without the aid of the Internet in general recieve a painful lesson on the new demegraphics of the customers buying Real Estate in todays much more sophisticated marketplace.
The modern customer looks for a realtor with not only a strong internet positioning and good internet marketing skills but in addition wants to see good blog positioning and the ability to write intelligent and helpful information relating to the buying and selling of Real Estate . Realtors today must make an impression on their client without ever having the opportunity to meet or speak face to face (many times not even phone contact) with their prospective client.
This new set of facts places an entirely new dimension on search engine marketing and optimization (seo) . It is no longer enough to be found first! As a realtor I must write my content in such a way that it will be recognized and relevant to search engines for the topic it is intended to address. But in addition to this the new more savvy customer of today will look for a realtor with a clear message and strong impression of good marketing skills in general. Todays customer is looking for a Realtor that they personally can easilly find on the Internet, in addition they they are looking for, not specifics but clear information as well as the feeling of confidence and clear and easy website navigation.
So how do I stand out in today's world among the multitudes of realtors trying to do the same? The answer is as simple as it is complex, I simply write content that will inspire the reader to trust and want to deal with me more than the other realtors who they will also be checking out. A true master in today's marketplace manages to get positioning on the search engine without sacrificing the quality of his written content. (If you meet one let me know) But seriously if I can have interesting and relevant content and be on the search engine pages among the obviously over-optimized, I am on my way to having a firm and solid marketing base for my Real Estate Carreer.
Have a Great Day!
