The New Real Estate Landscape and Technology

It is a changing world and Real Estate is certainly no exception.  The Realtor who fails to embrace technology will go the way of  the dinosaur.  I am taking the next step to learn whatever it is I don't already know.  I will be attending the Real Estate Webmasters Summit in July and I hope to meet many of you there.  I find it very heartening that there is a business willing tackle setting up a forum for us to actually find out what it is we do not yet know.  Thank you REW.

I feel like I have a successful grip on technology with my search presence and communications equipment and skills, but I do realize that being self taught has its limitations. In short I do not know and am not even aware of the things that might help me that I have no knowledge of because when you are self taught you only learn from what you have experienced.

I always tell my (adult) kids (and anyone that will listen) that the difference between intelligence and wisdom is very simple:

Intelligent people learn from their mistakes.

Wise people learn from the mistakes of those before them.

It is time for me to join the second group, I am going to find out how the rest of the world sees the new Real Estate Landscape through the internet in websites, blogging, database programs and any other available thoughts or technologies  and hopefully share what I have learned along my way as well.   I am very much looking forward to seeing you all at the Summit.

Have a Great Year! - Don Mann
