Wal-Mart FLW Western Division Series Bass Fishing Competition in Tri Cities Washington

The Kentucky-based FLW Outdoors has chosen Tri City Washington for the national professional bass fishing competition, Wal-Mart FLW Western Division Series, to be held on the Columbia River. About 400 anglers will compete for the top prize of $125,000 between September 15 and September 22 garnering national media attention for the Tri Cities Wa area. The competition is scheduled for broadcast on Fox Sports, November 18 at 8am.

Fishermen and women will travel from as many as 20 states, to include anglers from Japan and Canada. The Tri City Washington Visitors and Convention Bureau reports this event will most certainly be a boost for local businesses.

FLW Outdoors is offering 1 million dollars in prize money with the competition leaving Richland's Columbia Point Marina September 19th at 6:30am and ending on September 21 at 3pm. Practice rounds begin September 15.
