Relocation to Tri-Cities Washington has never been more desirable. Once again in the news Inman has selected Tri-Cities as one of the top 10 places in the United States to grow over the next decade with expected population increases of 35%. Tri Cities Washington is the place to be with great schools, plenty of employment, and plenty of real estate appreciation. What more can one want and ask for in a place to live?

West Richland Washington Homes | Great Location, Great Amenities

Many choose to buy homes in the West Richland Washington area for a variety of reasons, a few of the biggest being the close proximity to shopping facilities, recreational amenities, and the country feel. Residents of West Richland Washington arent far from shopping facilities, West Richland is home to two grocery stores, Home Depot, a few clothing stores, and a few restaurants plus other local businesses. Nearby in the surrounding cities residents can find the Columbia Center Mall, Costco, Lowes, and a wide variety of shopping facilities (local businesses and chain stores). Those living in West Richland are close to many recreations opportunities throughout the city there are miles of paved paths for walking, biking, or running. The city is also close to Badger Mountain Centennial Preserve, a great place for hiking or biking and home to many city parks with open fields for a variety of sports games. Many enjoy living in West Richland Washington because of the open feel the area has, many of the homes are situated on larger plots of land giving off the country feel without being too far away from the city.

Benton City Washington Homes and Real Estate

Most folks would think of Benton City Washington as a small, peaceful farming town with much land within the city. However, Benton City has many fun activities such as the Benton City Daze, Lions Club Fourth of July activities with extensive fireworks, Easter egg hunts, and many other events. Also, most of Benton City land is has irrigated orchards, vineyards, hayfields, pastures, and acreage,- lots of room to grow and get established. Benton City has little to no stop lights, so you would not have to worry about being stuck in traffic for a long period of time. If you want a small peaceful town with much land, of which you could use for almost anything, you would enjoy living in Benton City.

Benton City Briefly
Benton Citys population is about 2,800 and shares a school district with Kiona. Benton City has 1.8 square miles in all, fairly equal between the males and the females, and mostly Caucasian in Benton City proper. You would have a lot of privacy, as the homes are relatively far apart with plenty of space between neighbors offering privacy unique to Benton City. From the information in the 2000 census, the median age was 30, and the median income was $43,036. In Benton City, there is a new library, a medical clinic, well-cleaned schools, churches, volunteer fire department, and a park.

I was recently turned on to Yale University's vast archive of images of which Yale has placed into the public domain. From the Yale Daily Bulletin:

"The goal of the new policy is to make high quality digital images of Yale's vast cultural heritage collections in the public domain openly and freely available." And, "Scholars, artists and other individuals around the world will enjoy free access to online images of millions of objects housed in Yale's museums, archives, and libraries thanks to a new "Open Access" policy that the University announced today"

And, most importantly:

"In a departure from established convention, no license will be required for the transmission of the images and no limitations will be imposed on their use." [Bold added by me!]

Many of the images are vintage in nature, and there are literally hundreds of thousands to sift through. I've compiled a host of images in the slideshow below that represent a sample of some of my favorites. Some are simply cool looking, while others could be used for blogging in subjects like sporting/music event announcements, real estate blogging, real estate listings, and more. The image used in this blog article is from the Yale archive!
