County comp plan council set for busy run


A busy meeting schedule is in store for the Comprehensive Plan Steering Council, a 15-member citizen’s group working to finalize a draft of the future land-use plan for Cherokee County before early June for state review.

The steering committee met for the first time Feb. 13 in the Historic Canton High School auditorium. A series of meetings leading up to a June deadline for submission of the proposal will be held the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at county community centers, officials said.

The steering committee was formed by the Cherokee County Commission to take up the work of the Citizens Roundtable (CRT) to design a vision for county for the year 2030, including differing development…

Atlanta – A Homebuyers Dream!

Atlanta has become quite a metropolitan city and a sought-after place to live.  Many joke that it is a northern city plopped down in the middle of the south.  It is true that you may meet quite a number of residents before you actually run across someone that was born and raised here!  Atlanta and the outlying suburbs have become a real estate mecca for homebuyers from all over the country who want to invest in real estate or buy a home.

Canton and Woodstock Georgia Real Estate are the new hot markets in North Georgia.  Many new subdivisions are being developed such as the beautiful River Green neighborhood located off I-20 with easy access to Lake Allatoona.  BridgeMill is another very nice golf community in North Georgia with stunning homes ranging from $160,000 up to $1,000,000+.  All of the new neighborhoods being developed in Canton and Woodstock provide people with nice communities, good schools and access to many different activities.
