Chicago Cubs up for Sale
Posted Apr 2, 2007 @ 11:42 pm, Viewed by 448 Visitors, Read 451 Times.The Chicago Tribune announced today that in part of the massive buyout of the Tribune by Chicago real estate investor Sam Zell that the Chicago Cubs will be up for sale.
How do you put a price tag on the Chicago Cubs? Despite not winning a World Series in almost 100 years, the Cubs have a phenomenal fan base. Tickets are not cheap and when you consider the performance of the Franchise over the past 20 years to any other franchise, tickets to a Cubs game have to be the highest when you base the price on performance.
My current number on the waiting list for Chicago Cubs season tickets is 43,202.

LOL!! Our choice games this season we are going to is costing us on average $90 a ticket for decent seats. This includes taking my wife who is our managing broker, my four year old daughter who thinks the Cubs are so cute, my father in law who is one of the die hard Cubs fans who has anything and everything concerning the Cubs for the past 50 years and choice clients. It's not cheap but going to a Cubs game is an experience....That much for going to see a team that has not won a World Series in almost 100 years is incredible... how can you put a price on that? Could you imagine what the price would be if they had a good team? Estimates are that they will sell for over $600 Million... wow!!!
