The government is watching the housing market even closer these days. Carney comment on this last week and will intervene if needed. The worries are some markets are overvalued, in the last few years mortgage lending criteria has changed so much. The housing market on a national level has posted some good gains in December. Avg selling price has increased sametime last year and the increase in resale inventory as well. The Canada Mortgage Housing Corp, are still pounding into Canadians heads about record high debt levels. This is'nt a bad thing.
