Meanwhile, the right side of the structure represents Ying (female force) which is connected to the forces of earth. Feng shui practitioners need to find a balance between the Ying and the Yang.

For example, built areas including elevation and sun-lit roofs are considered to be Yang force while empty areas and set-back structures are said to be connected with the Yin. When a structure leans toward any of the two principles, the building can be considered imbalanced so proper feng shui should be practiced.
