PRICE IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.

When I say "Buying a Listing," I'm not referring to the actual act of buying a home. Instead I am referring toindustry agent to agent jargon. It refers to an unethical trick where some listing agents will inflate the recommended list price in order to win the deal.

If you pick an agent based on the highest recommended list price, be prepared toSIT, DROP and NET less. I often tell clients and potential clients that we are not in the business of listing homes, we are in the business of selling them! Sometimes our brutal honesty when recommending a sales price works against us. I can not tell you the amount of times that we have lost a listing because of it. Sometimes a very hard thing for seller’s to remember is that real estate agents do not set prices, the market does.  Experience, honesty, and integrity matter in this market and that is why Team Davis continues to help clients get the best possible deal whether buying or selling real estate in Southern Maryland.
