The Alabama Gulf Coast

The Gulf Coast Region of the United States consists of the coastal States that border the Gulf of Mexico. The Gulf States are Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida and are in the Southern Region of the United States. The majority of the Gulf Coast shoreline is in Florida and Texas with Mississippi and Alabama having the least amount of coastline.

The waters along the Gulf Coast in Louisiana and Mississippi are influenced by the Mississippi Sound where massive amounts of silt laden fresh water from the Mississippi River mix with the salt waters of the Gulf of Mexico.  The effects of the sound reach over to the barrier island of Dauphin Island, AL and the mouth of Mobile Bay.

Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival

The 2007 Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival is November 8th through the 18th and will feature artists from all over the country playing their original blues, rock, folk, and country compositions.

The question is who is Frank Brown?  Hint - "he wore a pair of matched revolvers, slung low, but he didn't have to use them".  Find out about the legendary Frank Brown here.

The artists will play in local venues in Perdido Key, Orange Beach, and Gulf Shores and have written many of the popular songs that have been recorded by your favorite acts..  The participants from 2006 can be viewed until the 2007 schedule is confirmed here.

ZZ Top And Widespread Panic Scheduled To Play At The Wharf Amphitheatre!

ZZ Top is schheduled to kick off the Spring concert season at The Wharf Amphitheatre in Orange Beach, AL on Wednesday, March 14th, 2007.

Widespread Panic will be the second event of the season with a two day event on Friday & Saturday, April 27 & 28, 2007.
