First Page on Google
Posted Jun 3, 2008 @ 12:24 pm, Viewed by 308 Visitors, Read 322 Times. This post is to show anyone can have their website on the first page of Google if they apply a little effort. I started my Outer Banks website, The Real Outer Banks, just over 8 months ago. When I started it I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I created the initial pages using a 5th grade book. I made my first hyperlink and was so proud. After creating a couple pages I realized i wanted people to read what I wrote and visit my site.
It was the desire for visitors that lead me to SEO or search engine optimization. When people search the internet the majority of the time its through a search engine. If your website does not show on the search engines results, no one is ever going to be able to find your site. Actually if your not on the first page your almost never going to be found. Well for the last week I was able to get my website to the first page of Google for the most competitive keyword in my area. The keyword is Outer Banks. If you interested in how competitive the keyword is: average cost per click $3.31, estimated clicks per day 1,000-1,100. So you could pay $3 everytime someone clicks to your site or you can optimize your site using seo.
Here is the best part. My personal website is found on Google for the most highly searched keyword in my area. It is in competition with numerous vacation companies that spend thousands to tens of thousands a year to have people find them. My website's budget comes out of my pocket. Since creating my website I have spent total what some spend in a day. Who is getting the better return? It's about what you do on the Internet, not how much you spend.

converting the leads is the hard part. web leads are not for everyone. We have found that the new agents (fresh from school) convert better than the seasoned professionals. Good luck and congratulations on your 1st page placements
Tampa That is definitely right. All the leads in the world don't do a thing for you unless you work on converting them. Any tips on converting them?
