Crofton Maryland Real Estate Sales Statistics For September 2009
Crofton Maryland is one of the few thriving communities in Anne Arundel county and has shown a consistent sales pace and a market value increase.
The low sale for the month was a foreclosure property that sold for $150,000. It was last sold at a price of $250,000 in August 2005.
The high sale for the month was The Roskelly Team listing in the Willows of Crofton which sold for $570,000. It was last sold in 2002 for $350,000.
There were 2 foreclosure sales and no short sales that closed in September.

The Crofton real estate market has been a very popular choice in Anne Arundel county for many years. Once an isolated little community "in the middle of nowhere", Crofton has grown to offer not just a great family environment, but top of the line rated schools, great shopping and dining.
Of the cities that we reviewed including Crofton, Odenton, Piney Orchard, Severn and Gambrills for 2008 real estate statistics, Crofton had the greatest variances throughout, but ended up in October with some pretty good statistics.

Odenton real estate actually fared better than many close by cities when it came to the turbulent 2008 real estate market. This is in part thanks to the appeal of Piney Orchard a large community within the city of Odenton which is a most popular destination particularly with military members relocating from out of state.
In July, the peak selling month for the year we were down about 22% in the number of homes sold as compared to July 2007 with an average sales price of $340,000. By October, the figures were a little more grim with a 32% decrease in the number of home sales and an average price of just $317,000.
