Destin Seafood Festival - Rock and Roll on the Harbor

Fall is my favorite season of the year.  The temperatures are in the mid-80's, the water is still warm, and the beaches are less crowded.

It's also the season of festivals.

My favorite, the Destin Seafood Festival, runs from October 2 - October 4 this year. The event is held on the Harbor and features activities for everyone. Visitors can enjoy many of the arts and crafts booths or sample a wide variety of local seafood favorites prepared by the best chef's in the area.

The Seafood Festival also features outdoor concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings.  This years headline acts include Survivor ("I Can't Hold Back", "Eye of the Tiger") and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts ("I Love Rock -N- Roll", "I Hate Myself For Loving You"). 

If seafood and music are in your soul, you should definitely make plans to attend.  The festival is truly a memory creating experience. 

Depending on your musical personality, I'd recommend investigating the following condos in Destin to stay at:

1. If you like Sittin on the Dock of the Bay by Otis Redding then check out the Destin Yacht Club. Directly on the harbor, easy access to the gulf, great fishing. 
2. If you like Hotel California by The Eagles then check out  Emerald Grande Destin. This new condo overlooking the signature view of the Emerald Coast, is located on the same property as the Seafood Festival.
3. If you like Family Affair by Sly and the Family Stone the check out the Sandestin Resort.  Sandestin offers activities for everyone and has many different lodging options.
4. If you like Good Vibrations by the Beach Boys, then check out Pelican Beach Destin. Enjoy your favorite umbrella drink from the beach front Tiki bar.  Tennis, indoor/outdoor pools, and onsite fitness ensure you'll have lots of fun!

If you can't make up your mind, then you might be feeling like Two Tickets to Paradise by Eddie Money.  In that case just check out all Destin Condos.
