Steeplechase, the Premiere Estate Community in Palm Beach Gardens, held its annual meeting tonight resulting in just little news to report.  There was a short discussion about adding two tennis courts on the vacant lot the community owns at the end of Sea Biscuit behind Valid Appeal.  Residents who spoke about the proposal largely opposed putting two tennis courts on the property.  Most questioned the value of adding tennis courts to a community that is solely residential in nature.  Others residing near the site suggested community tennis courts would disrupt the peaceful use of their own property.  Members of the Steeplechase Board indicated the proposal was tabled at the Board meeting, but wanted a sense of community sentiment about the issue.

It was also announced that construction of the back gate --on the Beeline Highway -- could begin in May with completion within about four months.  This will be a manned gate, matching the manned gate on Northlake Boulevard.
