PALM BEACH GARDENS AREA IRONHORSE COUNTRY CLUB RETAINS VALUE AS SALES INCREASE

While many communities throughout Palm Beach Gardens are seeing an increase in sales volume coupled with sliding home prices, Ironhorse Country Club has seen an increase in the number of homes sold with prices holding fairly steady.

From January through August of 2008 there were just five homes sold in Ironhorse at an average of $163 per square foot.  These included a $275,000 short sale and a $525,000 foreclosure.

In 2009 from January through August there were eight sales in Ironhorse at an average of $161 per square foot.  There are an additional four homes under contract in the community.  The sales included a 4200 square foot home selling for $700,724 and 2100 square foot home selling for $363,000. 

Homes in Ironhorse seem to be holding their value as prices continue to decline in country club communities throughout the area.  Today there are 33 homes on the market in Ironhorse Country Club, ranging in price from $299,000 for a three bedroom, three bath 2100 square foot home to $2 million for an 11,000 square foot seven bedroom, nine bath home.

Ironhorse Country Club is a small enclave of homes build adjacent to the Loxahatchee Nature Preserve with a championship Arthur Hills golf course winding throughout the community.  All residents in the community are social members of the club where amenities include a restaurant, swimming pool, tennis courts, fitness center and social activities.  Golf priviledges can be acquired for an additional fee.
