Hi Smuck.
I've experimented with this quite a bit, and I find that articles in the 500 - 700 word range get republished the most.
Recently, I wrote a really long (but helpful) article called "101 Tips for a Smoother Home Buying Process." I was curious to see how much run it would get. It was about three times as long as my usual articles.
It only confirmed my initial findings that shorter articles go farther!
