How do you get Pictures and Images indexed

Make sure the alt tags are relevant to your site (for SEO value) but also that they actually represent what's in the picture. Otherwise Google will flag it and that will hurt you.

Good advice, but google if your site is about Boston Luxury Apartments and you have a picture of yourself on your site and your ALT tag is "Boston Luxury Apartments" it won't hurt you since google cant tell the difference between a table and a chair. It's not writing for humans, but it shouldn't hurt you, unless Google has made some strong advances in photo recognition technology.

I really wonder how much benefit there is to getting you images indexed as all it did for us was get are high quality pictures copied. I see some sites now watermark there pictures but i dont have enough time for all that so all our property photos are in a flash player now only problem is our official trafffic figures are down because are images doent appear on Googles first pages anymore.
