i LOVE wordpress!!

I've been using blogger for a long time and it worked just fine but the look was not very professional. I'm sure there are tons of additional themes available but I never went looking for them.

Wordpress was easy to install (took about 15 minutes) and it would have gone even quicker if it were not for my godaddy mysql account with non standard settings.

A quick search and I found a geo-masher for blogs. Now I can have google maps included in my blogs without any difficult programming.

I would have to agree, I prefer wordpress over blogger, but of course I prefer REW blogs over wordpress lol (Of course I do, I built them) - In all honesty though, wordpress is at a level I wish I was in terms of portability / skinning etc they are definitly tops in the realm of free blogging software.

I just wish I could use the wordpress.com or typepad authentication for comments instead of having to have users create an account. Too much spam to not require registration.

Alright already you guys convinced me, i think its time to restart the blog on wordpress...maybe use the domain i have saved for another venture....now....how do you change it from the wordpress URL to your own domain?

Is there a way to copy my old blogger posts into my wordpress blog? or am i gonna hafta start from scratch again?

Import

If you have posts or comments in another system WordPress can import them into your current blog. To get started, choose a system to import from below:
Blogger and Blogspot Import posts and comments from your Blogger account
Dotclear Import posts from a Dotclear Blog

Log in to Blogger
The script will log into your Blogger account, change some settings so it can read your blog, and restore the original settings when it's done. Here's what you do:

1. Back up your Blogger template.
2. Back up any other Blogger settings you might need later.
3. Log out of Blogger
4. Log in here with your Blogger username and password.
5. On the next screen, click one of your Blogger blogs.
6. Do not close this window or navigate away until the process is complete.

i just installed gallery 2 today for my wordpress blog.. its amazing how easy they make installations.
