If I add 100 links from pages indexed by Google - what percentage would show up when searching Google links and how long after they are added the links before this increase would show up??

Wayne,
Wayne MSN has me at about 475, Yahoo at about 180 and G shows 0. I know that they have many of my links because if I do a search for Ryan Ward Alpharetta, I see a bunch of them including press releases, city-data, epowerred, reals, etc... I don't know the importance of it but, like you I just want to see some. Also, it seems like most of the sites at the top of important keyword searches show some backlinks from G. I wonder if there is any relevance to that.

I have added probably 200 backlinks in the last month that are on indexed pages but I am showing 10 from G just like I was a month ago. I know they only show a percentage but I would like to see some increase. Maybe they have to age. I have been told that the age of a backlink also carries some significance on pr but I don't know enough to know if that is true. Maybe some of the pros on the forum will shed some light on this for us. Wayne
Google only updates their backlink count every couple of months, also when they do, they only show a small sample of what backlinks they actually have, so don't count on Google showing an accurate count of links.

Thanks. Do you think they use a % like 10% or 5% or something like that. I know they show more for sites that have more. Wayne
I am sure it is more about trust and page rank than it is about a % - for instance if site x links to you is a trusted source and has high page rank (Not toolbar rank, real pagerank) then it is more likely to show up as a link.
