    Default REW Revenue sharing, did you know?

    I don't think very many people are aware but REW blogs are actually revenue sharing blogs.

    On your blog posts you will notice there are adsense ads to the right of your posts. By default these ads are REW adsense ads only, we use any click revenue to pay for development, and servers for the blogs - however what most people likely don't realize is that the REW Blogs are revenue sharing blogs.

    So what does this mean? This means if you are an adsense publisher you can put in your own adsense ad and we will show it in rotation with the REW ads and you can actually make $ just for posting at your REW blogs - so in addition to all the credibility and traffic you drive to your website via your blog, you can also make a few bucks to cover your own hosting closts etc.

    Now I do need to make an adjustment to the backend, as right now it asks you for the entire code for your ad, but you guys don't have to go throught the adsense formatting process, all we really need is your adsense ID - so I am just going to make it a one line input field that you just copy paste your adsense id into, hit update and you are good to go

    You do know that this does not apply to staff blogs right? If you want to have a personal one that you post from home, then it is ok, but if it is your REW Leif blog that you post on paid time, you are not allowed to put in your own adsense code

    Ahh... that makes more sense. I haven't put in any AdSense info yet and I'm not sure that I would actually post much from home.

    Thanks for the clarification.

    yeah, it wouldnt make much sense for me to pay you guys to post if you also got paid from adsense as well lol - might give you motivation to post instead of work

    But posts lead to pageviews, which lead to potentially more clients! Like G gives their employees 10% of their time toward personal projects, maybe REW could too?

    Although on paid time, I don't allow my staff to work on personal projects, as any of my staff will attest to, I encourage them all to have their own web projects and make myself available for consulting, provide free hosting, and allow them to make use of REW technologies for their personal endeavors.

    Here is a new one that one of my designers is doing locally http://www.govanisle.com - it is going to be the shiznit!

    Sounds great, Morgan...

    In the interim, should I just send my adsense ID via pm?

    I didn't realize it was a rev share, but noticed the code input box and had not had a chance to ask yet.

    Best regards;

    Cool that sounds like a good idea. I would be willing to do a blog on my spare time just for fun/sharing ideas, if you want to hook me up I am sure you know were I sit in the office.

    Actually Eric,
    You can just login to your blog, click on "Blog Settings" and copy paste your adsense ID into the Google Adsense ID field and hit update settings
