    Default Article Writing Campaigns

    Just wanted to share this:
What got me turned on to an article writing campaign was one of my competitor's websites. I'm absolutely convinced that my competitor's campaign has been a big part of her successful SEO campaign. This is the process I used...it helped me come up with some great ideas for my own article writing campaign.

    1) Run a search for "austin texas real estate" and look for weloveaustin.com
    2) Run a search for link:www.weloveaustin.com and check out the results
    3) Run some link:www.competitorsites.com on some of the other successful sites and compare the results

You'll notice that she's written some great articles, had them published on quality (and some so-so) websites, and that her articles have been picked up by others.

Eric, in this instance you are correct, she has written some great articles and done a decent job distributing them and it DOES contribute to her success HOWEVER this is a warning to all REW members to always ask for a second opinion (Or in this communities case 8000 second opinions) when practicing "follow the leader SEO" which is what Eric has just done (Again, he is right on this one)

But take a look at this: casinopages.biz/links150.html is one of her links, the danger is that Eric would see this as contributing to her success and try to get on a bunch of casino sites as well (Definitly NOT A GOOD IDEA) - so you see what I mean about the follow the leader deal?

Anyways, in terms of the article writing, you are on a great track Eric and for anyone else wanting to attempt it, it is just like anything else, if you write half assed no effort articles, noone will post them and you will get half assed results - if you spend a lot of time writing your articles and making them truly useful you will get some WICKED one way links
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!

Absolutely. I did a lot of research on the different campaigns of different leaders in my market - as well as visit a # of forums for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th opinions. Looking @ her campaign, I believe she probably set up the low quality links when "a link was a link" - before Big Daddy. If you look @ her link profile, she's nowhere near her competitors, but she's competing with them b/c she has some awesome one way links. You'll notice that ired.com posts her articles, realestateabc.com, as well as some big name inspector sites.

On a side note. How do you go about getting your articles published on ired.com or realestateabc.com?

I wish I knew - I've emailed Becky from ired a couple of times w/ links to my articles, and I haven't heard anything back. Homesurfer started realestateabc.com - he'd be the one to ask about publishing there.
