Default Using LivePerson to Contact Prospects

Anyone using LivePerson or another tool to interact with prospects on their web site? I'm wondering if it might be a good way to increase conversion...

Not as of yet. I am so tied up with the back end work on my site, but I've often thought an actual live person for instance a network of agents to reffer leads to...I guess this is why I can't follow up well, I'm to busy trying to get 5,000 uniques a month. I'll look into though and get back to you, just because I can't follow up!

We have been using the live chat technology for a while and we get about 3 or 4 folks online per week. We started with LivePerson on a monthly subscription, but then switched over to a solution that we purchased (http://www.phplivesupport.com) and encoded into our site.. so no more monthly fees. Plus, we can use the chat for ALL of our various sites (ie new home neighborhoods, email drips, etc etc)

No doubt its another usefull tool.. but definately not a "silver bullett"

The invite to chat features are pretty lacking for phplivesupport and liveperson. Their popup is going to get blocked about 95% of the time. So you are not going to be able to initiate communications with too many of your visitors.

I like www.clickchatsold.com because they have a dynamic invite to chat feature for browsers on your page. They use different techniques for delivering the chat window, and if one fails theny send another.

For me the invite to chat is the most important feature but it may not be for you.

That does look cool. I'll have to check that out Eric. That's my biggest concern is the chat invitation.

I think that the invites can work well for increasing sales. Shine Live Help is open source so it is free. It has the ability to send invites to web visitors with either popups which may get blocked and layers which work well. Once you end the chat you can archive the chat to SugarCRM with the Sugar plugin. Worth taking a look at.

What are you trying to tweak? Post comments on the sourceforge forum for Shine live help. The admins will help you and open source projects always need feedback on bugs and functionality:

We just released a new version of Shine for those who had seen my earlier post. We fixed some bugs, improved the search capability. Check it out. We know that this is a useful solution for real estate professionals.
