The best thing you can do is give potential linking partners a turnkey solution. For example, if I wanted someone to link to my site, I would briefly explain the benefits of linking as well as provide them a couple different options for linking to my site...

Then provide them the HTML code so they can simply copy/paste your link from above with ease onto their site. Make sure to put it in a text box though so they don't miss anything...

In this example, I gave potential partners a couple of options for linking to me. All they will really need to do is copy/paste the appropriate format to their site and that is it! Keep it simple for potential partners and you will get a better chance in getting links from others.

Seriosuly, organic means people link to you without you asking. It's about building a page or a site that people link to every day - like running a Google AdWords campaign that passively generates $1,000/day while you sleep or play World Golf Tour.
