Default Internal pages are not indexed in Google... why?

    Hello everyone,
I just decided to check if my internal pages are indexed in Google, so I clicked on one of the pages, copied the URL and did a search in Google for that page. Nothing was returned.

My question is, how can I make sure that the internal pages are indexed by Google? I have a sitemap and it was submitted to Google. I'm just not sure what else to do. Some of the internal pages on my site are at least 5 months old and they're still not showing up. I created the sitemap about a month ago.

    Please help.

    Thanks in advance.

Try searching the URL w/o the "http://"...

Or use the site command: site:www.yoursite.com

Generally if you're having issues with indexing it comes down to the strength of the links pointing to your site and then how you distribute that link strength.

Thank you both. I tried with and without http:// and they're still not showing up. I'm just not sure what else to do.

Try the Cool Cache SEO Tool - enter your main url and it will check all pages on your site to see if they're cached ....

Thanks Calgary Realtor. This is a really nice tool.

Here's the situation. I submitted my site to a directory and before submitting, I placed a reciprocal link on my site. The page where I place my links is http://www.ephiladelphiarealestate.c...e_1771871.html.

In a few days, they sent me an email saying that they can not accept me into their directory, because the page where I placed their link is not indexed.

The tool that I just used shows that the page is cached, but is it really indexed? I'd like to start exchanging links more frequently, but I need to resolve this issue first.

    Thanks again.

I know using Google Sitemaps is a good way of getting statistics on how Google sees your site and how people are finding your site. Doesn't it also help, though, as far as getting your new and internal pages indexed quicker?

To check if the page is indexed try, in Google, info:http://www.mysite.com/mypage.html or cached cache:http://www.mysite.com/mypage.html

An example would be the page that you referenced.

I don't know what's up with the difference between what you're seeing with the tool and what I'm seeing with the command.
