    I'd hesitate to use free articles myself, for most of the reasons already pointed out. Duplication issues especially, since Google and other SE will only continue to crack down on anything that resembles copied/spam content.

    Drang3d, if you syndicate your article to a website with a stronger ranking, it could push your article into the supplementals on Google, even if you published it first.

    If you really want to syndicate, however, the thing to do would be to write two almost identical articles on the same topic. The one that you'll use on your own website should be optimized with high keyword percentages, a keyword heavy title, italics, and a very specific first paragraph.

    The one you syndicate or sell should include all the same information so people will still benefit from the article, but lower the keyword density, weaken the title, lose the initial paragraph, and change the italics back to normal text.

    That should ensure that your article will show up first in the search engines.

    Cheers OHM, i'd never considered that but then again if a website with more authority published your article would it not be of benefit to you as in the Juice from the link back?
