I thought when I posted this I would get some good feedback. You know when you are are building a site you have your own ideas but sometimes miss things that other good eyes see.
After 10 days and no feedback I'm not sure how to take that.![]()

I noticed you've had 66 folks read your request for a site review and I'm the first taker![]()
It's a beautiful web site! My hunch is that no one's responded because there's nothing to suggest.
Having said that, I'll offer one suggestion: the left hand menu and the row of menu items across the top would be a little easier on my eyes if the font size were a tad larger. And you've got room for a larger font size without disrupting the layout.
Dennis,
I'll give it a shot...
First I like your colors (look at my site).
Not a big deal, but, you may want to add a little more content to your buying and selling pages.
On your IDX - I would prefer the font to be larger at the top where you select what type of property along with some sort of instruction there to point it out to users.
I may be getting picky, but, when I use my search interface, and I am looking specifically for 3 bedrooms, I don't want to see more bedrooms like "minimum" I would like a choice:
Number of bedrooms
1
2
3
4
where you pick the exact number - not a huge deal though.
The satellite view on the map search doen't seem to work very well - you really can't zoom in very well.
I also really like the red font. I wish I had that. Is that an "h" tag?
Good looking clean site. Easy to navigate.
Check your footer as it looks like it runs over a little bit.
Hopefully someone else will come along and give you a better (more knowledgeable) review.![]()

I appreciate the feedback. You both mentioned font size and this is something I had been considering changing so this is something I will bring up with Kim to get changed.
Ryan you have a nice site with similar blues. I went with the white sides looking for a clean look but I may make some changes to that.Ryan, On your IDX - I would prefer the font to be larger at the top where you select what type of property along with some sort of instruction there to point it out to users.

Again the font size I agree should be larger. The map search is a little slow because you are not only populating a map but also the listing, I could have Aaron double check that.
The red font on mine is h3 tag.
And you're right the footer needs some work to fix the run over.
I really appreciate the feedback guys![]()

I like the site because it's clean, classic and simple in it's intentions. That being said, it seems to be a targeted site (retireoregonstyle.com) and as a target site I feel it's too general and attempts to blanket your entire scope of real estate under one site. For the active adult buyer the site should offer more in-depth information on their needs like proximity to hospitals, shopping, transit options like highways (second home buyers) and proximity to major cities (for the active adult who still works). Overall it's a beautifully laid out website!
Actually I am a little confused about the heading (And a little embarrased I didn't notice it sooner) - Your domain name is denispeaseteam yet you had Kim put in retire oregon style .com - does seem a little confusing.
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!
Dennis,
Very nice site. I like to color scheme and the layout. Great job.![]()
I'm glad you brought that up, it's something I've been struggling with. RetireOregonStyle dot com is 301 directed to dennispeaseteam.Originally Posted by Morgan, Actually I am a little confused about the heading (And a little embarrased I didn't notice it sooner) - Your domain name is denispeaseteam yet you had Kim put in retire oregon style .com - does seem a little confusing.
If you remember when we started this site I discussed this with you, because I was was going to use the domain retireoregonstyle dot com and you recommended that I keep my existing domain because it was 2 years old (you were right of course). I didn't have to wait for google to index a new domain.
So because I've questioned myself on this issue and now I know you don't think it looks right either, I decided to have you guys change that. I'll contact Kim about changing that.
Thanks for the feedback,
