    Default prospect/contact management

I'm currently using outlook for my contact management. Does other contact management software provide that much of a difference and is it worth it?

    I'm using Eurekaware http://www.eurekaware.com/
I was using top producer but didn't like how it sent out emails. They would always end up in the spam folders of my customers. Eureka uses Outlook so all the emails that it sends out are from your computer and not from some unknown server. You can set up campaigns very easily and the customer support is great. Every email I've sent is responded to by the actual owner of the site. He has included several of the suggestions I've asked for in each update of the software. $89 one time fee, amazing. I was paying almost $1200 a year for top producer.

My client Gary from Nashville is Flying in this month to spend some time giving us feedback and helping us develop our CRM software - I would love to get some feedback from you guys on what things you think make a great CRM great.

Kyle, you have provided some great feedback already, in saying that some CRM's get picked up as spam because of an unknown server. I don't think this will be an issue, as we send via the same email address that you use in outlook (If you are using @domain.com) as your sending email.
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!

Morgan - I use to use HouseValues for leads, but more importantly, their ability to auto-send drip emails on a regular basis to my client base. One of the main reasons I dropped them *and yes, there were plenty* was that even though the emails they were sending had MY email address, SPAM Filters (SpamHaus in particular) only looks at the IP address of the mail server generating the emails.

Once their server(s) got tagged as a SPAM generator, as much as 75% of all email drip campaigns never made it to the intended recipient.

If you consider for a moment that each agent might have 1,000(s) of "prospects" they email one a month, and multiply that by the number of agents who would be sending emails with a particular server, it could easily be anywhere from 100,000(s) to millions of emails per month. Even with "click here to unsubscribe", many recipients simply click the "This Is Spam" button, marking your server as a source of spam.

    Hi

I use a product called Cortege - it runs with MS Outlook.

What I really like is it allows you to create a map of your contact network. Never seen anything else that did, and it really helps me - I tend to like to visualize things and lists don't help much.

We install and support installations of ACT!

    http://www.act.com/

All, from single agent offices to multi-agent firms, really like the software.

Hint, for a single computer installation, shop ebay, search for ACT!, even the older versions are highly usable, yet really inexpensive.
