Oh, I see now what you mean. So, you do these yourself (without using a service like vistaprint)? Sounds a little time consuming but are you saving a lot of money?

Out title co does all of that and even prints the first set of labels. It's something like $8/hundred

We are just looking to do a "just sold" mailer in one particular neighborhood right now. Probably just a smaller group for starters. Is it better to go with one of the services in this case? We want to be able to upload a photo of the home so that the neighbors can relate to it. It appears the some of the services don't allow that.

Try the peeps at tpmco.com. They can do Re/Max cards, you email the pic and if you want to do like 50 or 100 they can take care of everything. They have a few different products.

We do about 1,000 cards at a time, so it is costing us $127 per mailing versus $390 if we did not do the carrier route method.

If you’re only planning on doing a few hundred cards or less per mailing it is probably not worth the time and effort. There is definitely some initial work upfront to determine which carrier routes you want to mail to and then you need to apply for a postal permit, and then for each mailing you have to check your mail into the Mail Entry Center, which in Tampa is Located at 5433 W. Sligh Ave, and then take the cards to your local Post Office.

Once you know the routes and have completed the paperwork a couple of times it’s pretty straight forward. We have the system down because we always mail to the same carrier routes. We order our cards from overnightprints.com, when we receive them we count them into 50’s, place them into mail trays, complete the paperwork (10 minutes), and then take them over to the Mail Entry Center.

alpharettaagent - I don't think there is any difference, just convenient to connect to their database and pull up to date info that way. I'm sure the data is the same.

On certain mailings (especially larger volumes of 10K or more) the carrier route was a better choice. Yes, the permit and paperwork can be a bit tedious, and the mail has to be printed, bundled and organized just right, but at the end it's worth it.

We send jumbo sized full bleed (5.5x8.5) 4 color postcards to 100 closest property owners via http://www.quantummail.com

They do nice work and the entire process is done online. You can also upload private lists (ie Top Producer exports, tax records etc). Very nice quality.

We have a high quality branded front side featuring our various usp (unique selling point) and then on the address side we say "JUST SOLD" "ALREADY UNDER CONTRACT" "WANTED" etc and then put the address underneath...

We average getting 1 listing prospect call per "Just Sold" mailing and 1.5-2 calls per "Already Under Contract" mailing. We do very little other print media except to past customers / sphere of influence. For us, its hard to beat postcards to generate listing calls.
