    Default lost backlinks

Does any one here know why MSN would take away all of my backlinks? I had 170 yesterday, checked today and I have 0. I haven't been doing anything that should have got me into any trouble.

Never mind. I check my links at marketleap. I checked at MSN and everything seems to be alright although I still lost about 50 links. Does MSN update backlinks in a similiar way that google does? Maybe they are updating?

Recently, MSN has been sending some visitors to MSN Beta. That might account for the discrepancy you noticed.

That is exactly what happened. I sure do like the beta's results! Maybe they will finally make the cut over?

That would be nice, but Microsoft never does anything on time.

I was kinda surprised they did it after the turn of the year because their contract with inktomi was over January 1 and they had hinted that they would put their search live earlier....oh well, it is here and it is awesome, so I am happy!

My total number of backlinks went down on the new search but all the sites are still there. I think they only show one or two links from each site as opposed to every link from a site like before.
