Default I want to buy links in your real estate blog roll.

If you own a real estate blog then post it here, I am looking to buy some links on real estate blogs that have a blog roll. Just list your blog in this thread and the cost at which you are selling the link for, if I like what I see I will send you a pm with a request to purchase the link.

Pooter - I am going to have to advise all of my members against your request (Although I cannot stop them, except on REW Blogs) - Selling links to sites that are not pre-qualified can SERIOUSLY effect your search engine rankings in a negative way.

Who was it that told you that buying links was an effective long term SEO strategy? What site are you trying to buy links to? Stick around, I am sure you will learn quickly that there are better ways to spend your advertising dollars than short term link gaming strategies.

Finally this community is about learning and educating, not about buying or selling services or links, and I do not want it to become that way, so please refrain posting I want to buy, or I have to sell type posts as they attract other such unwanted posts.

I will respect the fact that you do not want this forum to be about buying and selling, did'nt realize it would be a problem. But allow me to defend the myth about buy links.

I do seo for a living and that is what I get paid to do for my clients. I have competed in some of the largest seo contest in the world against some of the best seo gurus out there and have finished on the first page everytime I have competed. I can honestly tell you that buying links will not hurt search engine rankings nor does linking to real estate sites that are not pre-qualified hurt you own search engine rankings. I can understand people not wanting to link to a site that does not have a right to practise, this makes sense because you do not want to send vistors to sites in which they may be scamed.

But if you want to do well on search engines then you need good links in order to do so, and if you are in the real estate market then the best place to get links will be from other real estate sites. Google is not against people having links from relevant sites that is exackly what they want to see. I do agree that if you are just buying links for the purpose of trying to get higher pr then your site can be penalized for that in a way in which google will not update your pr for awhile. But this has no affect on the search engine rankings.

It is true that google does not like people to buy links for these reasons, however, there is no way that they can stop it, and it has not been proven by anyone that I know of that google has some kind of system to detect it.

I was simple trying to give people a new source of revenue that works great for alot sites out there. Here is a few examples of sites that clearly sell links on there website but are affected by it.

http://www.statcounter.com (still ranks #1 for web counter on google, and still has a page rank of 10, these guys have been selling links for $2,400 a month for years now and google has never punished the site).

http://www.internet.com/ (still ranks #1 for internet on google, and still has a google page rank of 8, again these guys have selling links on there sites for a very long time, yahoo.com buys links from this site).

I could go on and on and point to tons of sites that sell links and make good money from it and have never been banned or anything of that nature by the search engines.

In either case, I will refrain from trying to buy links from you memebers, I just want to help educate as well and if I can help some of the members understand the search engines better then I would like to do so if that is alright.

Well I have no doubt that you have some knowlege about SEO, I believe (Actually I know) your answer is biased based on the fact that buying links is a big part of your strategy.

You made this statement which is completely incorrect

It is true that google does not like people to buy links for these reasons, however, there is no way that they can stop it, and it has not been proven by anyone that I know of that google has some kind of system to detect it.
Ever hear of a PR passon ban? When potential partners learn that they will garner no link benefit from any relationship with you, they will no longer participate in your linking strategy and you greatly deminish your ability to improve and diversify your linking portfolio.

You have provided some history and so will I - Before link buying was well known and the PR passon ban did not exist I was one of the largest link brokers in the world. Jarod who I am sure you are familiar with is one of my good friends and someone I used to consult for when he just had a few links to sell. Pat Gavin, Jim Boykin & Jarrod rounded out my click at that time.

I was also the first person to land a PR 10 set of links for sale on the web, basically I don't need a lesson on link purchase, I am well aware of the features, benefits and detriments.

As an SEO, you may know me better as SEO Guy, I am the senior moderator of SEO Chat and have been in SEO longer than most people have been on the internet. I do not claim to be the be all land end all of SEO, but I certainly have a lot of knowlege and experience that I use to educate our members

I respect your abilities and knowlege of SEO, but I will tell you that anything you post here will be met by some surprisingly SEO savvy members (Not just myself) and it is not as simple as posting something as fact and having the members gulp it down like a slurpee on a hot day - We care about the brain freeze

That being said, I am very excited to add another SEO savvy member and we welcome your contributions. Just remember we are best practices and will not engage in any practices that violate any search engines terms of service.

    Have fun!

I am always open to learning more for it helps me improve as well. Everyone has a strategy that works for them and their clients, and the one i use works great for me and others that use it. Right now I will use the example in my sig and a test to show that this strategy does in fact work.

The seattle real estate site in my sig is a new client of mine, (the directory belongs to me) currently that site is ranking #13 for the keyword 'seattle wa real estate' should be #1 since that is the name of the domain, but that is were I come in. The goal is push this site to the first page for the keyword 'seattle real estate' the site is currently on page 7 for that keyword. I am more than confident that I will get this site to the 1st page in no time, maybe a month or so, either way I will keep you posted on how that turns out.

I could tell that you have been around for awhile, I do not use SEO chat anymore, the guys there did not appear to be open to anything, they always seem to over ride what you say as being wrong. I see this alot in people that have doing things for awhile, they never want to learn anything from the new guy, I'm not saying that is how you are just pointing out some facts about what some people do.

Either way I am sure I will have fun on this forum and I look forward to providing my skills as well as learning some new ones.

What do you mean cleaning up the bottom of the homepage, can you give me some insight on that, if there is anything wrong I would like to fix it.

Ok, I see. I did not build the website or anything like that, I just do the seo for the site and I have told the owner that I will not touch anything except a few source code changes and on page seo, and of course put links to my site in order to get credit for the rankings. Once we push his site higher I am sure he will let me redesign it as well. He is paying a nice chunk of money for the seo, so if all goes well I may redesign his site for free. It is always nice to have good rankings along with a nice looking website.

At the very least you could organize all the ugly banners and crap at the bottom. Sure makes the site look cheap IMO.
