Not for Sale sign - ?

I was thinking maybe I could post a "not" FOR SALE sign in my own yard [and maybe even a few friends' yards] that advertise me as a realtor that can find you the home you are looking for

Is this too . . . "wrong" or deemed illegal or inaapropriate? If I were going to sell my house, obviously I would be putting FOR SALE sign in the yard - so I figured . . . how bout a not for sale sign - but call me to find the home you DO want to look at . . .

I have seen those temporary remodeling and pool addition sings around town. Unless your city has a rule against something like that, I'd say why not give it a try?

I see nothing in the statute that covers this, but I'm not a lawyer.

In addition to local legal issues, HOA covenants may apply, if you are in a HOA community.

if it is a for sale sign, you wont have a proble, All you have to do is when someone calls tell it sold and and if you would like you know where the same house is other places in the local area

If the house isn't or wasn't for sale, it is likely unlawful to advertise it as such. It at least would be a violation of the Code of Ethics.
