Default All in One Printer Suggestions?

My main printer and back up were both put to rest this afternoon. Anyone have any suggestions for new color - b/w laser fax, copier, scan, printer? with low printer cartridge prices.

If you are willing to forego the Fax i would suggest the Canon MP line. Canon are really good on ink, i find that Lexmark and others are absolute whores on ink. So if you go Canon you should be allright. I have the MP160, it's bottom of the MP line but the quality is great and I have no complaints

Got myself one of these for Xmas.

Great for printing pictures and what not, also can double as a scanner/photocopier if I ever needed it. It's pretty good on the ink, as long as your not into the 5.3 mega pixel pictures and photo quality stuff you should not have any problem. Also can take SD cards and Memory sticks, which is handy because you do not need to have it hooked into the computer to print/use it.

I do like this canon, I bet color pics and flyers come out 10X better than HP printer I put to rest.

Anyone have any suggestions for All in One Color Laser Printer, I've heard laser is good way to go to keep ink expenses low

The Dell 1610/1800 series MFP is pretty good. It's only black ... and the price per page is only so so. But it's awesome as a fax, network scanner, scan to email, etc. Very flexible.

If you want color, Dell has an all-in-one that's around $800 or so ... and it's kind of big and the toner isn't as cheap as it could be.

Usually the best price per page is going to come from a dedicated printer with large cartridges. The printer will be expensive too. My Dell 5100 is awesome. Full color, built in networking and duplexing. The new 5110's have 12,000 page toner cartridges. They're very economical per page but they printer is over $1000, it's the size of a dorm fridge and the cartridges are ~$175 each .... you need three color ones.

Forgot to mention those big Dell's print full color at about 35 ppm. That's pretty darn fast when you're cranking out 500 color flyers at a time. The auto-duplexing (double sided printing) saves a lot of time. Definitely worth the money if you have a place to put it.
