maybe offer a non-Flash version of the site also? some search engines have trouble viewing Flash sites ...

Flash incorporated into a site, and "a flash site" are 2 different things, there is no need to loose the flash, it will get indexed fine by all SE's
And just to clarify, flash in a site does not "hinder" a sites rankings or cause SE's any grief, they simply treat it like an object like an image or similar media file.
