Question Is it ok to to submitt a published blog article to article submission services?

So lets just say we spend hours writing a killer blog article. Of course I want to have it on my blog, but I also want to promote it to article submission sites. Can I submit the same article? Or would that be creating duplicate content. I could write a review of it for submission, but its a real pain to rewrite a good article. Thought I read something about this being allowed.
    Any comments?

tough question and one that I have worried about. It comes down to who google thinks is the authority on the article. Honestly I don't think Dupe Content is all that bad so I wouldnt worry to much about it. I would leave it on your blog for a couple weeks then release to article submission sites.

Sam, love the cat picture but I must say for some reason I thought you would be a female. Then I visited your blog. Maybe you should have one of a big dog. Ha Ha Thanks for the comment.

Hey OC RE, here is an excellent and timely read about dup content:

Also, if it's that great of an article, I would suggest submitting it to (or having it submitted to) the social media sites.

That is a good article. Thanks. So do most of you do anything specific to promote your blog articles on the web? Submit it to Digg? Can you submit your own article? Any other sources for submission to increase awareness?

There have been a ton suggested....ezinearticles.com comes up a lot...I didn't get to do it yet, but do a search for "article submission" on the forum search (look up) and I am sure a couple of good threads will rise to the top.

ezinearticles and isnare are the best 2. I would go find some poor guy that does 300 manual submissions for 30 dollars and have him put it out everywhere.

Yeah, thanks. I don't have any problems finding sites to submit to. I guess my question is, are you guys submitting the very same article that you posted in your blog? Or do you make up articles purely for submission purposes. It goes back to that duplicate content issue.

I am also trying to figure out the best way to promote my articles to the digg crowd. I figure that once it gets enough diggs it will take off, but while its down at zero or 1, it doesn't have much of a chance.

I really think we should be able to help each other on this.

There is nothing wrong with syndicating your blog content to article submission sites where appropriate, I see no penalty with this - however that is only if it is an article fit for submission. Blog posts tend to be a little more site specific or personal, so a lot of times don't make for great distribution.

In terms of DIGG: What you are suggesting I believe is close to violating their TOS - one should never DIGG someones post because they are asked, or because they belong to a group of DIGG account holders.

Of course this all depends again on the article: Have you read DIGGS categories or topics? None of them apply to real estate, so how would they ever make any real traction? I mean most true DIGG members would just bury real estate related content (Unless it was tech related)

Digg is not the only social media site.
