One thing I am noticing about MSN is it seems to deliever the home page on an inner page match but takes part of the inner page for part of the description.

Has anyone noticed anything signifigant about MSN?

I am assuming its too early for anyone to speculate optimization techniques that may work?

At this point in time, MSN appears to favor backlinks over everything else.

MSN seems rediculously simple to optimize for

Tons of backlinks with appropriate anchor text and old faithful as far as onpage goes

All containing your keyword, and then appropriate title and decs.

I am also seeing MSN seems to give "the little guy" good results as far as returning a lot more actual regional results for those keywords and returning less of the optimized regional results, maybe using the footer or address to determine revelancy for regional searches.

no they arent using the footer or address, that much I am sure of as I NEVER include such info on my sites and I am the #1 site, for ALL of my major sites.

I found the same thing to be true about MSN as Morgan stated above. With some simply old style SEO you can easily be on the top 10.

If they are not using the footer for lets say "Richmond VA real estate". What would you guess as to why so many actual local Agent results are displayed, unlike Google. Where its so much spam and the big RE guys?

I'm loving the new MSN results.

I'm on the first page for "Henrico Virginia"!!

They're sending me lots more traffic then Google ever did, and my Adsense account is reaping the rewards!
