I never got my articles approved !!

The web directories are off, the articles are the in thing !! Thats the phrase I heard a long time back, since then I started writing articles for my clients as well as for my own site, but even after submitting articles to over 150 + directories I didn't got a single approval. I wonder if these sites have a mechanism that checks for the duplicate entries or something else !! I chaecked for the promotional language thing but my articles were clean. Only GOD knows how to write a clean article !!
Any comments or suggestions on this issue will be appreciated !!

Do you have an article I can review? Here's an article I wrote about web content writing that will apply to writing articles too.

I spend all day writing articles and I have only had one or two rejects due to length. Most articles will have to be in excess of 350 words, topical and original. I would suggest trying the major sites like ezine. Best thing is to make sure the articles are original content.

Jenna's article has some great instructions in it. Good place to go as a guide. If articles are factual, accurate, and interesting you should have little trouble.

1. If my article is taken from any of the pages of my site, then is there any possibility of its rejection ?

2. How would I know if my article is accepted, do the directories mail u when your article is accepted or u have to just keep looking at your backlinks ?

1: The articles are accepted usually on a case by case basis, most article sites reserve the right to reject any article for any reason at any time. Since these were taken off of your site, it is possible that they will reject the article because of it being already published on your website.

2: The odd time some sites do send emails to the address that the account is signed up with when the article is approved. Majority of sites do not, so it does require some time searching for your back-links of the websites submitted to. The easiest way I have found to do it is use the search feature of your internet browser (ctrl+f in firefox) and write the first two words of the title of your article and search the directory of were the article is submitted to. It also helps if knowing the date that the article was submitted on, it makes searching threw multiple pages for your article easy.

That's a really nice and practical advise !! I will search my back links now for any possiblity of approval. Thanks REW tyler for the great advise !!

From my own experience submitting articles, they should really be atleast 500 words to make it into any site i have submitted to, Some sites dont mind less, but many do have a 500 word requirement. Plus you must take note of the individual sites rules on linking in the articles. I have seen some I submitted rejected because of one to many links.

Yup thats true !! Well I searched my back links but only two sites accepted my article. I submitted my article 15 days back, and only two sites approved, its a really fast process !!
