Default Advice: whether to post new blog (page/url) or change content....

So I have a regular article I'm writing on overpriced condos in a certain area (Clarendon, Ballston, Rosslyn). I do it about every 3 weeks with funny pics and what not. I've noticed my rew copy of it has excellent rankings.

So when I post another article on these overpriced condos, should I just post a new blog entry (it's own unique and new URL) or to keep playing off the successful rankings of my previous posts on the subject, should I add new content of that post by deleting much of its content and throwing up my new article on that URL instead. I think search engines like pages that are updated regularly. So perhaps I should modify the existing page-- http://www.justnewlistings.com/arlin...ballston/show/
-- when I have an update on this running series.

IF google keeps getting similar articles submitted from me to new URLs seems like it might considered spam....

Your expertise on this excellent question is appreciated.

If it were me, I would post a new entry every time. Part of the idea, as I understand it, is that a blog will always place the newest content at the top. You will continue to get great SERPs from your new entries and get a few more links, add more content and have more indexed pages for consumers to find!

At first I wasn't sure what would be the best way to do this but after reading Ryan's post it makes sense. Blogs are for updated news. You probably don't ever need to edit a blog post unless there is a typo or something incorrect that really needs to be modified.

Blogs are for updated news, like Ryan said. What you might want to do is keep the title the same followed by a number (for the series).
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.

I agree that a new post should be made for each new entry. However, you should definitely not have the same title, exactly for the reason you are afraid of... spammy/dup content.

I did a series on REW blogs called When Real Estate Technology Attacks. It was a 3 part series. I put the numbers II & III after the 2nd & 3rd post. If it is truly a series I would think you'd want to designate it as such in the title. Any other opinions on this being negative? The content of the page would not be duplicate & the title would be different with the series numbers after.

If I was doing a series like that, I would put the name of the series and a bit of a description/subtitle in the title.

    For example:

When Real Estate Technology Attacks: Day-Timers, MLS Machines, and Brick Mobile Phones... Oh My!
