Require some sort of user interaction to post a comment, i.e. put random images etc on it.

I get the same thing with my Wordpress blog. It's pretty annoying when I get all excited that I have 25 new emails and find out that they are all spam from my blog.

Do a search here for blog spam, it's been covered before. Wordpress has some spam plug-ins and there is a built-in control in the admin section that let's you list certain words that if included in the spam comments will get automatically deleted. On my older blog this is all I use and I have all the drugs & porn words on the list so I don't get any spam if they contain these words. If a new drug pops up I add it to the list.

I haven't really looked into the spam plug-ins much.
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.

But what if someone is commenting on the rising Viagra market in the town you talked about?

But seriously, filters work good, until you get the spam that have the number/letter (1337 speak) words to get around the filters.

We have been fighting this as well, and based on the addition of these two plugins, all of our comment spam is gone (much of this was born from this post):

SpamBam Plugin - eliminates comment spam completely.

WP Contact Form Plugin - A contact form that includes a simple question (i.e. 2 + 2 = what?), which eliminates email spam.

    Happy blogging.
